  • Color A, center (dark brown) – 17.5 yards (16 meters) to be worked double-stranded
  • Color B, petals (gold) – 32.8 yards (32 meters) to be worked double-stranded

*Wraps per inch (WPI) - measures yarn thickness by counting how many times the yarn wraps around a ruler in one inch. More wraps thinner yarn, while fewer wraps thicker yarn.

  • 4.5mm (7)

  • Picot – ch2, insert hk into 2nd ch from hk, YO pull the yarn back through both the stitch and the loop on the hk.

How to Make A Sunflower Coaster

One round brown crochet circle.

Foundation, col A – ch4, sl st into 1st ch to join and form a ring.

Rnd 1 – ch3 (count as dc), 15dc into ring, sl st into 1st dc to join. [16dc]

Two round crochet cirlce.

Rnd 2 – ch3 (count as dc), 1dc in same sp as ch-3, 2dc in each st, sl st into 1st st to join, ch1, cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends. [32dc]

Rnd 3, col B – sl st yarn into any st, ch3 (count as dc), (1dc, ch1, 2dc) in same sp as ch-3, *sk 2-sts, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next st, rpt from * 10 times, sk 1-st, sl st into 1st dc to join. [44dc, 11xch1]
